After inheriting a brass candlestick and using it for many years as a pillar candle holder, this hookah-inspired piece outgrew its use. So it sat in the garage collecting dust. I even attempted to sell it online yet had no takers. I finally succumbed to the idea that this old candlestick was meant to stay in the family! And then one day, I got my "aha" moment...
I gave both the brass candlestick and a decorative bowl I picked up at a home store a spray with my favorite DIY tool.
Once dry, I gave both items a quick dry paint brush coat of my paint color. I wanted the gray of the primer to peak through. Fill the bowl with plants and place atop the candlestick holder. If using real plants, be sure to drill some holes in the bowl for drainage.
