Update Boring Cushions With a Stencil!

Even though I gave our back patio a MUCH needed overhaul last fall, our patio set still needed a little something. When our Monthly DIY Challenge group partnered with Royal Design Studio Stencils for this month's challenge, I knew I could use one of their beautiful patterns to give our boring white lounge furniture cushions just the pop they needed!
There's very few supplies needed, just be sure to use fabric paint or acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium so the paint will hold up well on the fabric.
Since I wanted just a stripe of the pattern across the cushion, I found the center and started there then worked outwards. For our cushion, it only took three full stencils then a little bit of one on each end. I was totally done in about an hour!
I love how it makes a statement but isn't too visually overwhelming, plus the gray and oyster pearl color combo I used fits in perfectly with our neutral, weathered, and rustic patio and also has a pretty shimmer to it :)
I still may stencil the two side chair cushions too down the line, but for now I'm liking having this accent on the loveseat in the middle.
