Building A Garden Footbridge Made Easy!

I always wanted a footbridge in our outdoor space.Because we love taking on projects(DIY).We searched online to find the easiest design for us.
One of my favorite Home stores(LOWES) has directions on line for, How To Build A Footbridge. It gives you step by step directions. Also if you want railings added
The directions cause for a 16 ft. bridge. We didn't need one that long.We made ours 8 ft. long to accommodate the space.
Following directions, everything was pre cut and nailed together and rough edges sanded.
I choose to use a solid stain,(Olympic) Seafoam(color).
I added a small stencil detail.
Love this color! It's my second time using this color.I also used it on my potting bench. This bridge was placed where there is a low dip and rock bed.
Here is a front view.
here is a pic of the bridge placed from the slope to landing on the other side.
Love how this came out! Not only decorative but functional in the garden where I spend so much time. Thanks For Visiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dennie on Aug 19, 2016I love your little bridge. The color you painted it is perfect...just blends right in with the rest of your beautiful yard. Your wood deck is a very nice feature too.
