Hide That Mess With A Skirt

I got tired of looking at this mess in my basement. The kids weren't ready to get rid of their precious treasures, but I was certainly done with the way they made my family room look.

I just grabbed a tension rod in the right size, slid a few ring clips on it and placed it under the table. I used ring clips so the fabric would be able to move easily on the rod and we could get to the toys when desired without a fuss.
I cut my fabric to the necessary size and hemmed the edges with a machine. You can also use fabric glue or fusible web if you don't sew. It's holds up just as well.

Really, it's very strong. I have actually redone/ reupholstered a wingback chair with fusible web and it turned out great. You can peek at that custom piece here.
You can also leave the fabric rough if your edges are very straight. I often line up large pieces on the floor to get a very straight edge.
Then I clipped my fabric on to the rings and I was done. That's it. Super simple, it looks great and it hides all those toys. Perfect!
