Pumpkin Wreath

I have seen pumpkin wreaths online, and decided to try my hand at one. I gathered together some materials I had at home, then went to Hobby Lobby for the rest.
I decided what color mesh ribbon I wanted the body of the pumpkin to be, a cream color paper deco mesh is what I used.
I took my 20 inch wreath form and began gluing the pipe cleaners on it, twisting them to the back of the form.
I placed 7 on top, and 7 on bottom, with a gap on each side.
I took my mesh, and folded over the end, pushed to the back, and secured with the top side pipe cleaner.
I twisted the ribbon back to the front and went down to the bottom side pipe cleaner just below it, fastening on the back.
I continued up and down, this is after a few rows.
This is the finished body.
And this is the finished product. I love how it turned out! To see more detail, visit my blog.

What is the entire name of the mesh? Some wreaths call for paper mesh.

I used the paper deco mesh for this one, but you could use any other type. :)

That's really nice! I like the idea, like the cream & fall colors too! Were the bows/ribbon different to do? Are they wire?

Yes, the bow was made separately. They really aren't that difficult, I just watched some bow videos on YouTube a few years ago to learn how. This one was made with wire edge ribbon, and I added some fake leaves and a flower also. It was a lot of fun to make and different than any I have made before. 😊

Did you bend the round into pumpkin shape

Actually I didn't, although with the mesh on it, it looks like it. You could certainly do that though.

Love the way this pumpkin was formed! I'd be able to do that! And the entire pumpkin is just gorgeous! I will have to try my hand at this one! Thank you for sharing!
