Create an Adorable Owl Using a Recycle Soap Bottle!

Easy
Have I got a fun project to share with you! Owls are very popular right now and I want to show you how to make one out of a liquid soap bottle.
Here's how:

1. Take an empty liquid soap bottle, remove the labels and cut off the screw top with a hot knife.
2. Glue pieces of burlap on the bottle using tacky glue.
3. For the owl eyes, make two pom poms using cotton twine, flattened and spread out, adding plastic animal eyes to the center.
4. Cut out a square piece of burlap to cover the top hole and glue it on with the pointed edge between the eyes and back. Then glue on twigs in the shape of a "V" between and above the eyes.
5. Add pinecone scales to the sides of the owl by overlapping the scales from the bottom to the top sides.
6. Add twigs for the tail to the back bottom, adding more pinecone scales to cover the top of the twigs.
7. Use three pieces of floral twine wrapped wire glued together to make each of the owl's feet.
8. Add a large pinecone scale between the lower portion of the eyes for the beak, and you're done! So simple and easy to make!
For a decorative touch, I perched the finished owl on a leaf filled grapevine hung with jute twine! This owl vine swag can be hung on the wall or tied to a front door. What a great fall accessory and a wonderful way to greet friends and family!
