DIY Layered Dessert Stand

I made a gorgeous cake stand using supplies you might already have in the house. I love the way it came out and it was so easy to put together! Here’s how to make this cute Layered Dessert Stand. Here’s what you’ll need:
one large dinner plate
one small salad plate
high-strength glue
ribbon or twine
glittery washi tape
glass candlestick
You might be able to use hot glue if you want, but I found that extra strength glue worked well.
First, use high strength glue to attach a candlestick to the larger plate. Make sure you center the candle stick on the plate. Press down to secure and let dry fully.
Then, attach the smaller plate to the top of the candlestick. Put pressure on the top plate until everything dries. Let cure overnight.
Use some ribbon and washi tape to make these cute little bows. These will add a cute touch to the finish platter. I used this small navy ribbon from Target and this gold washi tape from the dollar store. I secured it all with some hot glue.
I absolutely love the way this cake stand came out. This totally looks like something I could have bought from a home decor store.
Here it is filled with my favorite new treat.
