Rustic Coastal Coffee Table Makeover

I found this coffee table on the side of the road. It was sturdy and only needed a little TLC!
My first step was to wash it down. Then I sanded the whole thing. I only gave it the once over to remove any imperfections.
I gave it a whitewash and dragged some gray stain through the paint to give it a worn weathered look. It takes longer to dry, but I like the effect. And for the top, I used wallpaper! This was pre-pasted, but I used wall paper paste to make sure it would stay put. Once the paste dried, I sprayed it with several light coats of clear satin enamel, making sure it dried completely between coat. It only took a day, and most of the time I was waiting for stuff to dry. I would recommend using coasters. Or for heavy use, a glass top. Thanks for lookin' :)

I think it's a total skill what you're doing with this table. Most people would have to be satisfied with how it looks when they've got it. It's one thing to give it another coat of paint to make it look different and a totally different thing to think about slapping wallpaper on it to give it a texture! Good job!
