This is the real life kind of DIY stories I share. I am glad I followed my gut and shut off circuit. This could have lead to fire in my home. Please don't ignore flashing lights and weird electrical occurrences. Your house is trying to talk to you!

William on Feb 21, 2017Another great tip from DIYHIPCHICKS! New outlets have screw connections on the side and a push connections on the back. I always use the screw connection for a positive contact. The wire in a push connection can easily l loosen and wiggle out of the connection. Anyone who does DIY electrical should not use the push connection even though it is easier than twisting a wire around a screw.
