Hi Claire - they certainly add some color and am pleased you are happy. This is just a suggestion (and not a criticism in any way) but I was thinking if your crochet friend could make two long cords (chain stitch) for each cushion and attach them where the cushion lines up with the back "posts", they won't slip off everytime someone gets up from their chair. She can easily make two long cords, attach two to each cushion then you simply tie them in a bow (or knot) to the back of each chair.

We used to have cushions that tied to the chairs but before long all the ties ripped off.

I love your chair's they are so awesome and I wish I could crochet I guess I'm just going to have to find somebody to crochet something like that for me and pay them like you did but they are beautiful thank you for sharing this with me
