This butterfly craft makes a great project to make with your kids in less than 15 minutes. You can use this hold your child's nature collections in the Spring or as a Valentine's box too. Great way to reuse a cylinder container too.
I made this with my daughter for school. Super easy and used stuff I already had at home.
Use what you see here as well as a cylinder container like an oatmeal box or drink mix container. We used a hot cocoa mix container. If you don't have doilies you can just use paper hearts.
Cover the box with paper. We used double-sided tape to attach it. Attach the paper strips in the middle to make stripes as well. Fold the bottom of the the doilies as shown and attach with tape or glue. More info on my website at: http://www.makinglifeblissful.com/2017/02/valentine-butterfly-box-craft.html
Glue on eyes and draw a face.
Cut open a slit in the lid to make it easy to put stuff in . Attach antennae made from pipe cleaners. You can see how we did this on my site at http://www.makinglifeblissful.com/2017/02/valentine-butterfly-box-craft.html
We used ours for a Valentine's Day box for school, but my daughter wants to use it to keep other things in too. She loves it!!!
