Greet Your Guests for Baseball Season

It is time for Baseball again! For me that means it is time for some baseball crafts! I like baseball, the Summer weather, the green grass field, the crack of the bat, yes, I enjoy baseball! What better way for baseball fans to greet guests this summer than with a baseball diamond on their front door?

Sometimes you have to sacrifice some baseballs. Using a power drill I was able to drill all the way through three baseballs for this project.

I immediately decided to pullout a square wreath frame to simulate the 'diamond' of the baseball field.

I cut strips of astroturf off a piece of turf I had in my garage and  wrapped the strips around the wreath form and secured them with green chenille stems.

Here it is almost completely wrapped.  When it was completely wrapped I trimmed off all of the black threads.

I picked up this small baseball mitt at Five Below for just $5, the mitt and a red bow were the perfect choice for the bottom of my diamond.

Those balls with the holes? I threaded a piece of twine through them.

Red ribbon was added between the three balls...

The balls were added to the 'diamond' and my door will be dressed and ready for the game of the "boys of Summer"!
