Outdoor Sink
For when grilling or just washing hands, I wanted an outdoor sink. I saw the sink at our local swap meet, asked a friend for a log and searched till I found the right hardware. Waited till the wood seasoned a bit and then let the construction begin....
My $22 find at the local swap meet.
Another great find..brass dragon faucet.
Stopper/drain
My hunk of wood.
Location of sink to be.
The start of boring out the trunk, a place for the bowl to sit and in back another to run the drain hose.
A few parts needed.
Drain tube inserted into log.
Faucet attached to fence.
Check for water.
we removed some old decor and added pine swags instead
I had taken out the corner portion of the fencing to put in a french door to allow more light/sun to hit the plants
we simply removed the drain from the old sink and put it into the new sink
I loved my painted sink...unfortunately the hail destroyed it...so I replaced it with a honed rock sink
Enjoyed the project?

I like your stump pedestal but I think I would do a wound rope trim instead of the faux greenery maybe just my style taste but that is what first struck me.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
where is the water coming from
How do you attach the faucet to the fence? We bought the same faucet and there are really not enough threads to go thru and clamp tight to the fence and also attach to a supply line.
is the water just draining into the ground through a french drain system or is the drain connected to your septic system?
