The promised update:
Updates
One the first issues I tackled was the lack of edging on the outside of the area. I used a combination of stone and pallets to create this cute border
Here is another view of the 'entrance' and updated borders.

We lost one pane of glass in a water balloon accident on this door but still happy with how it is holding up.
Inside the garden, I was pleased to find that all my perennials had survived the past season and the spring blooms are glorious! I added in just a few pops of color with some impatiens. Topped off with a new coat of mulch and we are good to go.
A more full picture of the fountain. I also added a mirror, you can see in the back corner. It is simply an old piece of mirror my friend had behind her garage and I had the hardware store frame it in pressurized wood for $12.
The Japanese maples look lovely and the climbing hydrangeas are growing very slowly. Also, I didn't have my cushions out as were were expecting spring storms on the holiday.
I have filled my shelves with a collection of bird cages and colored knickknacks.

Doors re-done
I also had to sand down the old doors and restain as the 'interior' sides of the door left me with a chipped paint mess in the winter. They cleaned up nicely but stripping down antique doors with decades and layers of paint took DAYS!
B❤N Haven
We added the bon haven (prayer garden in dannish) sign that I made from scrap wood and another birdhouse to the east side.
Mature plants
The mature plants are looking great!
Shower curtain shades
In the early mornings, the sun shines right into my face on the bench and I found if I wanted to read or use my computer I needed a bit of protection - so I added the curtains and pull them back as needed.

Also, note, the roof on the sitting area to keep me in the shade as the sun rises during the day.

I sill have not brought out the cushions as the rain has been awful this spring. They are water proof but it can still get messy and blown about so I am holding off for a bit longer.

Thanaks for Reading. I would love your comments!

I am wanting & saving things for a prayer area, pictures, cut outs & objects of what, where & whom to pray for. I can't remember all of it so a visual is for me. Yours is beautiful & made with things I like. Thank you ♥️🙏
