DIY Lamp Finials

1 Material
I have been trying to figure out a cheap way to DIY a lamp finial for a long time! Well, I think I have finally got one!
I have an entire hiking boot box FULL of old knobs and drawerpulls that I've been meaning to either use of get rid of. Among the mess I discovered that I had saved several og these wooden knobs that just so happen to be the same screw size sat the part of the lamp harp that a finial twist on to:)
first I painted the wood knob with one not so carefully applied coat of chalk paint that I had on hand. After it was thoroughly dry I sanded the entire knob with fine grit sandpaper.
Here is the lamp that was in need of the finial. Below is the finished diy finial.
I imaging if the hole in the know was not the right size for the harp you were using, the home could be filled with wood putry and re drilled to fit .
I really love how the distressed finial looks with the distressed lamp! The blue finial is now on a lamp in our guest room:). You can find the entire project and many more on my blog. Just follo w the link below!
