DIY Back to School Supplies | DIY Pencil Cup Mason Jars!
School Supplies can be pricey. In my DIY School Supplies video, I show you how to decorate your school supplies to make them cute, bright, colorful, and trendy! These diy school supplies are easy and affordable to make. The video is linked below. Also, there are step-by-step instructions below on how to make the pencil cup mason jars featured in the video.
Check out the video above to learn how to make diy school supplies for the upcoming back to school season, including the pencil cup mason jars!
The first step is to wrap a piece of tape around the mason jar to section off about 1/4 of the mason jar.
The second step is to apply mod podge using a foam brush to the section we just taped off.
The third step is to poor glitter onto the mod podge.
The fourth step is to remove the washi tape once the mod podge has dried. Be sure to apply another layer of mod podge on top of the glitter to seal in the glitter.
The fifth step is to trace the lid of the mason jar onto a piece of white card stock using a sharpie.
The sixth step is to cut out the circle using a pair of scissors.
The seventh step is to write the name of the school supplies on the card stock that you will be placing in the mason jar. In my case, I placed pencils in this mason jar, so I wrote 'Pencils' on the circle cut-out. I recommend writing the word in pencil first, then sharpie to prevent any mistakes from happening.
The eighth step is to tape the circle cut-out onto the mason jar. You could also use mod podge or glue instead.
The last step is to place your school supplies inside of the mason jar! I also made two more mason jars for sharpies and pens, and I used pink glitter for those instead.
