Who remembers 90's sponge painting? Well this desk was sponge painting gone wrong! I think a teenager must of done this because the entire paint job was just a mess.

I think a teenager must of done this because the entire paint job was just a mess.
So I started stripping down the top thinking I was going to stain it, but as I was going I realized it was not going to work. I was going to have to spend way too much time and the wood on top wasn't nice enough quality.
I love French Linen by Annie Sloan so this is my main color. The trim pieces are done in Old White.
The desk was kind of boring on it's own so I decided I wanted to use French inspired stencils to jazz it up.
I always paint the back of a desk, because you never know if it will be positioned away from a wall.
I just love the green knobs!
I have this one up for sale, but I am enjoying it in my entryway for the time being.
