DIY Candy Bowl From Terracotta Pot and a Fish Bowl
This super cute and easy Terracotta Pot, Saucer, and Glass Fish Bowl can be turned into an adorable candy bowl for any occasion.
Make one for any holiday or give one to your child's teacher, co-worker, or birthday gift.
You will definitely be a hit.
Here are a few easy sets....so let's get started!!
You will need a 4" or 6" Terracotta pot with the matching saucer. When picking out your glass fish bowl, make sure it sits on the bottom of the pot when it is flipped upside down.
You will need any color acrylic paint.E6000 to glue the glass bowl to the pot and to glue the handle to the lid.A paint marker is optional
For the handle you can use anything you wish. In the picture I have a 1" Terracotta pot, and two different size wooden toppers. you can also use a 1" wooden ball.Whet ever you choose will be painted.
You will need assorted brushes. 1" or 2" to paint the main surface of the pot and saucer.A detail brush for any smaller painting.
Painters tape to mask off for clean lines if needed
Paint your Terracotta pot , saucer, and handle any color you want. Have a theme picked out before you start.Make sure to paint 2" or 3" inside the pot.
Your Terracotta pot is now ready to add Mod Podge to seal the paint. I prefer using gloss.Once everything is dry you are ready to add the glass fish bowl
Use E6000 to the bottom of the terracotta pot and then set your glass fish bowl on top. Make sure the bowl sets even. The drying time is about 1 hour for the glue.
You can also glue the handle to the bottom of the saucer. This will be the lid for the glass fish bowl
This is what your pot and bowl should look like once you have glued both together.
And here are the finished Candy Jars. You can make them any size and for any occasion. Add some candy and you are ready to give them as gifts or save one for yourself!!Have fun and use your imagination. Until next time Happy CraftingThanks, Bev FilerSouth TX Creations
