Vintage Jewelry Statement Necklace

You've seen them in all the stores. The chunky, bold necklaces with a variety of shapes. Why not make a statement necklace? This is exactly what I thought while thrift shopping one day.
I found an old necklace and a pendant and a brooch. All for a few dollars. The gold piece in the middle actually came from the back of an old hand mirror. I could see using earring and maybe even a lightweight belt buckle for this diy project.
I played around to find a patter that I liked. Using jump rings that you can buy in the jewelry section of any craft store to connect them to each other. Needle nose pliers are a must too, but you probably already have them at home.
Here's a close up of the jump ring. They come in different colors too.
This was a super easy project and I will be adding jewelry to my list of things to look for next time I go thrift or antique shopping. Since there is so much to see it always helps me to have a list of potential finds to look for.
I could see adding a couple of smaller pieces hanging in between the three I have here. For now, this one will do for a fun night out.
