Earring Holder!!!

(IC: homeowner)
Finally! I solved my earring solution! And it was so easy, what took me so long to see the potential solution??? (Remember I posted the jewelry tiers on HT?) Anyway...I was at the Habitat restore, and looked up on the rafters, I saw piles and piles of window screens. All sizes! 2 dollars each! HELLO! Tada! So I got one 9x21..brought it home and took off the metal thingys, got a screw and up it went so easy! It is already white framed...You have no idea how long I have wanted something easy and good looking. I had even planned on getting some screen and a frame...and making one! ha! This is so much better! And yes, I wear them all. I even have more but they are not the fishhook kind so I don't know what to do with them yet. No, in anticipation of : am I afraid someone will steal ? NO, these are not valuable...just fun!

Laura Benavidez on Jun 18, 2016OMG Bernice, what an amazingly simple solution! I'm headed to my local habitat store tomorrow to see if I can find one I can use for my earrings. Did you ever find a replacement for your new home?

Bernice H on Jun 18, 2016Hi Laura.... Glad this struck you as easy ,too! Yes,I finally went to a window store when in Ensenada..they had old windows and screens...I had to haggle. The guy said 7.00 for an old screen. It was hard not to laugh in his face. An old used bathroom size window screen? So I offered him 2 dollars which is what I paid for a new one in the states,he took it! Good gravy,we Americans may be rich,( choke) but we are not stupid! So I have it up now in our new home in Palm desert. It is getting to the point where I will either need a bigger one or another one. I love cheap bling to hang and look at! Most I wear, but some are so pretty...... Hope you find one. This was way easier than using lace,or chicken wire, framing etc! And I am for easy. I keep mine in the bedroom, I enjoy looking at my "stuff". If you find a good idea for non hook types,I would appreciate it if you share. Take care..b
