So, last year I made Acorns out of plastic Easter eggs. This year, while at Hobby Lobby, for $13.99, I found a garland of cream color wool balls. WA-LA....my acorns for this year!
First, I collected the caps off the acorns outside that my friendly squirrel left after his feast (the deer eat them too!). I took the balls off the 6 ft strand and matched the sizes to the caps. With a little hot glue, I had my acorns for 2017!
I got a bowl full of them and even sent some to my sister! I tried to add color on a few with markers but decided I liked the cream color best :)
Just a few around my vignette on the piano.
Suggested materials:
  • Wool balls, acorn caps and hot glue   (Hobby Lobby)
