As we grow older and the kids have left to raise their own broods!, we found we were living in much more space than we needed. Besides that, I had always wanted a Ranch style home.
We looked for 4 years, and finally found a small Ranch. I was skeptical because it needed a complete gut job!!! My husband loves that kind of work and was confident he could do the job with a little help. So there starts the adventure!
It was first totally gutted by our family and Church family! This is dining area!
We taped off rooms . Kitchen, dining room, living room, and moved basement stairs to a new location. Will do addition for bedrooms with bathrooms, laundry, 1/2 bath.
The pantry pictured here. Framing rooms. Will also have sewing room in new addition. Enclosed front porch.
Framed out French doors in living room!

This is our house so far, we have a lot of work ahead of us but it is all very exciting!

Suggested materials:

  • Everything so far, lumber, new windows, doors.  (Lowes)
