We had a downstairs powder room with peeling wallpaper and broken tiles. I wanted to minimize the amount of wallpaper I had to deal with, so here is what I came up with.
The existing vanity, floor and wall... ugh!

Room was completely gutted.

The old peeling wallpaper and tile.

The tile came up like butter. Most I was able to pick up with my hand. Great adhesion going on there.... NOT. But it was minimal effort to get the thinset off the floor. I pulled off what I could of the wallpaper, but what I couldn't pull off I left on the wall. I marked all studs with a pencil line ( double checking with 2 stud finders and a long level ) the entire height of the stud where I was going to put the shiplap at and got the longest 18 gauge nail gun nails I could get. I both nailed and used Liquid Nails to put up the shiplap, making sure I hit the stud each time.
The finished product in 4 days. All item bought either from Home Depot or Lowes. ( with the exception of the electronic candles )
Flooring was  Sterling Oak 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring
Some of the cost of the project was getting the tools I really needed for this project, to make it all go easier. I found the better prepared you are, the easier the job. I bought a pancake air compressor/nail gun package at Home Depot as well as a jigsaw ( which I didn't have ), paint brushes, long level, an extra hammer for the flooring, odds and ends. Most of them I can use on the next project.
