Before/After This coffee table was found on the side of the road. The before picture shows what it looked like after the peeling leather top was removed and cleaned up. The after pictures show what can be done using American Paint Company Dollar Bill, Clear Glaze and Clear Wax. Thanks to Beth & Cheryl for the great job they did on this piece. This piece is for sale at the Jersey Shore Cottage but not for long. — with Beth Duddy Morey and Cherylann Reese Gerhard.

Donna Kracinovich on Apr 02, 2014Hi Kathie. It's a faux finish technique using APC Clear Glaze and paint. First you have to cover the wood or finish with either a Top Coat or wax. If not the Glaze will not glide over the surface. After mixing the Glaze and paint, use a balled up plastic bag to create the effect. Next use a thin paint brush to highlight the veins. Final step is to cover the top with either a Top Coat or wax, then buff. Thanks for asking.
