Chunky Knit Pillow

We love the look of this chunky knit pillow by Hometalker Lily Ardor. The best part about this chunky knit project is that you can do it all with yarn and your hands, no other materials needed!
1. To begin, make a loop with your yarn.
2. Keep making loops and pulling each new loop through the previous one, until your yarn starts to resemble a braid.
3. Then, lay the yarn across the braid and begin to pull the yarn through the loops to create new loops.
4. Measure your knit over the pillow to make sure it’s the right width to fit your pillow.
5. Once the knit can double over the pillow, fold it over the pillow. To tie up the edge of your pillow, tie a long piece of yarn at one end of your pillow and use it to sew up your edges as you would with regular needle and thread.
6. Work the yarn around all 3 edges of the pillow, and once you’re done, tie off the yarn and feed the remaining yarn into the pillow.
Enjoy your beautiful new chunky yarn pillows! Lily’s full post can be found here: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/pillows-throws/chunky-knit-pillow-33918280
Knit A Chunky Blanket In A Day!

For this cozy blanket, grab some flagpoles or broomsticks, (yup, you read that right!) with a diameter around 32mm and get some awesome chunky yarn here.
1. Cast on 34 stitches onto your “needles”. Then continue with one row of ribbing: knit, purl.
2. Continue with a stocking stitch for remaining rows, starting and ending with a knit stitch on each row. When you reach the desired length of your blanket, do one more row of rib edging and then cast off.
3. To add tassels, cut 2 pieces of yarn, each 16 in long, and secure over needles by wrapping a thinner thread around the yarn near the needle.
4. After wrapping the tassels with a thinner yarn, using a needle, sew the thread into the tassel. Then, sew tassels onto the blanket with a transparent thread.
Get cozy and enjoy!

Is this something that can be done with fabric instead of yarn? Someone at work had the cutest bag that looked like this knit, when I asked her, she said she made it from old tee shirts cut into strips.

Love your idea of using paper tile rolls. But I have seen these before, how do you keep them clean? I have to take my conforters to the laundry mat, this is just something else that is huge. Do they shrin?

Where is ANYONE finding this yarn that is actually affordable? I can't find it where a blanket won't cost me less than $100 to make. You can buy them cheaper which makes me mad.

Pattimoody7....I agree with you. Alot of "Big" yarn comes from China. The picture is very deceptive. Always look at the reviews first before you order anything online. I ordered 15 skeins off a third party on Amazon and the picture was deceptive. I asked for a full refund and they would not honor it. I asked Amazon to step in and they did "Big Time". Got my "full refund" 3 days later. Amazon rocks! When you are a seller on Amazon, you are held to a higher standard. Amazon will not let deceitful people sell on their site! If you have any problems, just get in touch with Amazon. They are there to help your "buying experience" a pleasant one! I speak from experience! Good Luck to All!
