This vintage small chest needed new “skin!”
Before. Blah. New paint & new drawer pulls please!
Spray stripper - easy to use! Spray on, let sit, scrape off.
Had to remove paint before the old pulls could be remove.
Pulls off.
I used an orbital sander - coarse discs first, then fine discs. 220 grit sandpaper was used by hand to get it super smooth. Drawer pull holes were filled with wood filler and sanded.
First coat of Ballet White chalk paint. I use multiple brands, even make my own. 3 coats were applied. Light sanding between coats and clear wax was applied to seal the paint.
l had a friend cut out my pattern along the bottom front of the dresser to add some charm. Floral drawer pulls were added.
Chest is now ADORABLE 💖
