Every year, as summer comes to a close, my flowers start to die off, but gardening is never over. This is the perfect time to harvest seeds for the following year.
Check your flowers for dead heads. And I mean the ones that look black, as shown in the picture below.
They should be pretty easy to just pull off and this process is better done when everything is dry.
Then I put them in plastic cups with the name of the flower. I will rub the heads between my fingers and the seeds should fall out very easily.
I store in seed velum packets and place in the fridge for next year.
