It's New and Old... Rolling Pin Rose Garden

I really like taking the old and the new and making is totally different than what it's meant for... I love everything vintage so I took some of my vintage rolling pins and added a couple of new ones and turn them into an old Charming rolling pin rose garden

I got some from Goodwill 2$ and picked up a couple from Walmart 6$...

So I started by sanding just the handles of the Rolling Pin only just ...so I can add a little stain on the ends

A little stain goes a long way

Adding a little paint is totally up to you depending on the transfer you use

Now they're ready so here comes the fun part.... can you say transfers I picked up IOD iron orchid transfers called floral treasure 11"× 14"♥️ this will cover 2 rolling pins...@12.99$

After the transfer is put on I took a very fine sandpaper 220 going over the handles of the rolling pin and just a little over the transfer and sealing it with wax

Just remember at this point they are no longer food safe

    Where did you get the transfer? They are pretty.

      I thought of using pretty paper napkins. Many have beautiful florals and other designs. Love this idea!!

    What kind of finish did you put on last?

      I put country chic natural wax over it first then a little aging wax on top wipe down thoroughly...hope this helps thanks

    I love this but I am not super crafty. How did you apply the transfers?

      With with transfers you don't need spray adhesive are modge podge.... they are self sticking hope this helps thanks
