The challenge is to take something new and make it look aged. I don't like doing a project unless I can use the result so I made planters.
Here I have a cheap plastic bucket from Dollar Tree.
This is a plastic plant container from Lowe's. I have about 20 of these.
I had no idea how this would work, but I mixed plaster of Paris in the bucket until it was thick enough to stick when brushed on. I started brushing it all up on the sides and on the outside.
This is what I got. I scooped out what was left inside and used it to coat the other container.
I left it rough to look more like concrete.
I found this in our paint supplies. It is hammered silver.
Sprayed with a light uneven coat of the silver.
Sprayed this one too.
Cleaned it up a bit and it is ready for flowers.
I will make several these and place them down a path with colorful annuals.
Added a stencil and left it rough.
Added a stencil here too!
