It isn't officially spring, but we've definitely got spring fever! To bring a little bit of the season into our homes early, we've been picking up tulips on sale from the grocery store.

But sometimes those beautiful blooms can be difficult to display, especially in some of our favorite large vases. Luckily, we have some flower arranging tips to make the most of your inexpensive floral arrangements.
After a dreary winter, these pops of bold color (typically under $5 a bunch!) are exactly what our homes are craving.
This is a shot I took when I came home from the grocery store and plopped the tulips in one of my taller vases. It’s definitely not bad-looking (some may even prefer this tighter look), but I like my tulips to droop out of the vase. Unfortunately, these stems were too short, so they didn’t have enough height to droop outside of the vase.
So I grabbed a mini tupperware bowl! You can use an actual bowl or a heavy measuring cup (these actually work better). Just plop it into the vase upside down to give your tulips a little boost.
Much better, right? For such a simple trick, I’m always surprised at what a difference it makes.

What about if you have a vase with a large mouth? Well I've got even more tips and tricks for arranging flowers over in this blog post!
