Let's celebrate spring with a gorgeous tulip wreath in the colors of the rainbow.

Spring is finally here and I want to show you how to make a beautiful tulip wreath DIY to celebrate.

To start the tulip wreath, I grabbed a white Styrofoam ring that will become the base. My ring was 15 and a half inches in diameter.

I started building the wreath with a bundle of tulips that I got at my local Michaels.

I bent them into a curved shape that mimicked the curve of the ring.

To attach the tulips to the foam, I used floral wire. The floral wire is really, really skinny, and really, really easy to work with. You can just snip it with a pair of scissors.

The first thing I did was to feed the wire around the ring and tulip stems and twist it a few times to keep it in place.

When I got about halfway down the tulip stems, I added another bunch over the stems of the first bunch bending them again to make sure they were curved.

Then I continued on with the same floral wire and wrapped it around until the second bunch was secured in place.

I continued doing this around the ring adding different colors as I went.

When I got to the last bunch of tulips, I tucked their stems in below the bunch that I started with and wrapped the wire around a few more times to finish securing everything.

To tie off the wire, I flipped the wreath around and twisted the end of the wire around a few times in the back. The beauty of making this tulip wreath with wire and not hot glue is that it allows you to take any of them off or take the entire thing apart so you can use it all again for a different project.

I just love how this spring tulip wreath DIY is so colorful and beautiful. It's all the colors of the rainbow.
