Do you have an old wooden mens valet that needs new life? Join me as I give this one a fresh start, more in depth detail on the blog link posted below too
step one, clean your wooden valet well to remove all grease and gunk that might be on from years of use
step 2 paint a color, I chose Fusion Mineral Paint in dark grey ASH, I also lightly distressed the edges to add charm and sanded lightly with a paper bag to bring out some shine.
To add more dimension, I added black wax in the crevices and contours. Fusion has a built in top coat so this is not needed but does add so much to the piece. The wax does also added durability to it as well seeing the top has lots of space for storage of watches, chains, coins, wallets, cell phones and what ever your man might need to store for the night. It also has a full length divided drawer for hidden storage too
This piece is now ready for years more service and the dark grey color is perfect neutral to add to any room color scheme. SO if you have one, why dont you add some color?
