I have the ultimate musthave multitasking home DIY for you today (because it's very easy to make and mega manifold), you'll want to have it, too! I'm probably not the first one to make such a peg board and it's possible that you find a board with ready-made holes in the building supplies store, but I had fun making this one myself and was surprised to see how many possibilities it offers - and it's quite cheap and very easy to make (I would presume even somebody with two left hands would be able to do it). It took me much longer to style and put the board in scene, make photos and edit them, than it took me to make it (including drying time for the layers of paint)! My DIY is a magnetic storage, organization and deco board made of wood, which can be used with / without wooden pegs. There are thousands of possibilities and the nicest thing is that you can use it in every room of the house. "Pure" it's like an object of art. Find even more photos and ideas on my blog!
I cannot stand the look of clutter on counter tops. It's one of those pet peeves I have. And my husband doesn't mind it (if he doesn't know where something goes, he just leaves it out). I've taken care of the kitchen counter top pretty well, but our master bathroom is another story. Mostly because we have my stuff and my husband's stuff. I would love to put some of it into a drawer but some of it can't go into drawers because they are messy (like the after shave and cream). So instead of having them on the counter, I made a little shelf where he can put them onto and it looks a little more organized and less cluttered. This is also a great gift idea for your man :).
So my place has a serious lack of storage and that’s led to a very cluttered entryway. I wanted to add some sort of organization to the space, somewhere to put shoes, hats, gloves and etc. AND I also really wanted to try my hand at building some floating shelves. Two birds one stone right? It was a match made in heaven.
Guests are coming and Thanksgiving is only a week away. My dining room needs a new look, STAT! I had purchased two pub style table years ago (they were cheap and I was on a tight budget). Pushed together they make a decent dining room table for when guests come for dinner. But I'm over it. Its plain, and I'm ready for a change...but surprise surprise, I'm still on a tight budget! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
We all know there's no such thing as too much storage, so today we're building a DIY 2x4 garage shelving unit. This unit is made using nothing but 2x4 lumber that is cut, glued and screwed together and it stores almost everything I need in my garage DIY workshop! Plus, it's under a hundred bucks!
Are your electricity bills going up and you are looking to save some energy? You can actually save some energy during the day and the best way is to install a skylight that allows natural night to come inside your house and you do not require turning on the lights during the day.https://hotwire-electric.com/First step is to choose the location on your roof where you want to install the skylight and it’s better to select a place where you get more sun and also the room which is darker.
How I built cornhole boards and stained them with unicorn spit. I’ve been meaning to build some yard games for family gatherings, parties and birthdays held at my place. My best friend’s husband was turning 40 in November and we threw him a surprise birthday party in October. Why a month before his birthday? Because this is Minnesota and we didn’t want to be outside standing in a foot of snow and freezing to death lol And I don’t have a house big enough to really accommodate 100 people!
Guys I have wanted to make a kitchen island of my very own for a long time. So when we were buying this house, it had the perfect space for the island I'd dreamt about forever. I bought a $25 dresser that I wanted to use because of the perfect amount of storage for baking sheets & all other baking utensils. It had ample drawer space! Then I turned it into a beautiful work space for my kitchen!
Even though this is a gingerbread garland , unfortunately it's not the edible kind. A bit like the super cute gingerbread man advent calendar I made this year too!I don't know about you, but as a family we get swamped with cardboard packaging this time of the year. Everyone seems to be doing most of their Christmas shopping on Amazon! I decided to reuse some of the Amazon boxes for a fun festive decoration.
When I stay put in one place for a while, I get antsy and start to change things up with my decor! This time, it's my headboard that got a makeover to give my bedroom the boutique hotel look and feel.
