Keep Your Rug From Walking

Easy
For years I have danced a tango with my rugs to try and keep them from walking off the mats. It is truly an act of frustration. I have tried non slip pads, double sided tape, and even walking around them! Nothing seemed to work. It seemed that as soon as I left the room the rug would magically get up and move to its new annoying position! I am not a perfectionist by any means, but this is enough to drive a person batty!
One day while sitting in my front hall staring at this mess I had a light bulb go off! What if I put some Command Strips down...maybe that would work.
I was so excited to find out that the strips did the trick!
Finally I had found something that really worked. My days of rug frustration were finally over! The best part is this trick took less than 2 minutes to do and was really easy!

Peg on Oct 21, 2014They also sell "heavy duty" 2-3 inch wide Velcro. Pay by foot and is pretty cheap. It does hold very well..........

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
I noticed you put the strips on a rug pad. Do you think it would work with putting the strips directly on a hard wood floor or would it damage the floor?
How many do I need?
