Making my pet's space more fun by using an up-cycled old window I picked up at a yard sale, I will turn it into a picture frame to frame out a picture I took of my three dogs. icon icon icon

Using leftover indoor trim paint I painted two coats on the window frame with a craft sponge brush.
Wal-Mart ColorPlace White Interior Semi-Gloss paint
My photo enlarged printed in black and white.
This is a poster enlargement done at Sam's Club
Using some Windex, paper towels and a scraper I carefully cleaned up the window on both sides.
Using picture hanging wire I ran the wire from the windows hardware on each side of the top of the frame.
I measured the inside of the window frame
Keep in mind with old windows the size and shape are never perfect icon
Next I cut down the enlargement
Tapemeasure
Pencil
Square
Cutting board
Exact-o Knife
It was a little hard to see the pencil, next time I think I will use colored marker.
Before fitting the picture into the window frame I wiped the enlargement down with a microfiber cloth and did the same thing to the window glass.
Finally I placed the the enlargement into the window frame and taped it into place using masking tape
Using a Stud finder I located the studs, marked them, and drilled sheetrock screws for my anchors.
Finally I hung the window and leveled it!
After

I tried to get a better picture without so much reflection on the windows glass.
Here is a closer look at the window. The reflections are horrible in this little nook. Hope this helps for those who wondered about how flat the pictures was inside of the window frame.

I see the picture was wavy...is there any way to make it lie flatter? Cute idea !
