Do you need a Grade A gift for your child’s favourite teacher? You can’t go wrong with a fun planter created to brighten his or her classroom.Heres a project that you and your child can work together and one that your young student will be proud to present.This planter is sure to brighten a teachers day.
Materials You’ll need
1) Sponge brush
2) Terracotta pot
3) Black and white acrylic paints
4)Masking tape
5)Alphabet stencil
6) Stencil brush
7) Ribbon
8) Craft glue
9)Blackboard charm

How to make
1) Useing a sponge brush cover your pot in black acrylic paint.Allow the pot to dry completely.
2)Apply tape to the alphabet stencil blocking letters that will not be used.
3)Tape stencil securely to the flowerpot about halfway between the top and bottom.
4)Stencil ABC on the pot useing white paint and a stencil brush.Repeat the ABC design around the pot, useing a mix of lowercase and uppercase letters in straight,diagonal,and curved patterns.
5) Cut a ribbon long enough to fit around rim of pot and tie into a bow.Wrap the ribbon around rim, glueing in several places, then tie into bow in front.
6) Hot glue a blackboard or other school related charm underneath the bow.This is optional.Give to your teacher with a plant.He or she will be delighted.
