Needing a little color for that drab bedroom this would be great for any room in the house... starting with the old windows and take out all of the glass
Making sure that all glass and any remains of it are gone then you can arrange it on your wall , I chose to go all the way up the wall
Next comes the color I chose three colors and rotated each color...I used Country Chic Chalk paint for this project, Sage, Bee's Knees(yellow), Cranberry Sauce
Sanding each color first then using the natural wax first.... then a little aging wax on top 🤗
Adding a few miniature pictures inside helps bring the Whimsical look together 😊
Already for my guess to enjoy
Enjoyed the project?
Suggested materials:
- Old windows, country chic chalk paint and wax (I got my paint for The Painted Woods in Knoxville, Tn.)

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
OK, let me understand this. With the glass out, you painted the wall these colors? But you started out with the wax first, then paint, then re-waxed them? Have I got this right?
Any way to use that paint on the glass instead of removing the panes?
Very cute, but why not just put a thin board behind the window frames, paint it, embellish, then place it on the wall? It just seems putting paint and wax and all that on the actual wall is unnecessary....and if you should move or want to change the decor, all you would have to do is take the frames down.
