repurposing a tree stump
by
Denise B
(IC: homeowner)
We had an ash tree that was not surviving due to the ash bore, so we had it cut down to a certain height to make this project.
And this is what we ended up with.
Chiseled out this window. Used old fencing for the roof.
Here we cut the bark out for the door and chiseled the lines going up and down. Burned the edges and stained.
Added a (sitting, deck area) below the window on side.
Added our gnomes that I have collected over the years via my daughters. Planted petunias and begonis and mulched. Layed some broken bricks at the front door for a path.
Enjoyed the project?

Marna Untiet on Jun 09, 2015I love this idea for my soon to be stump. They actually make little decorations and rooms for gnomes now. Can't wait.
