Swim Ribbon Wreath
Do you have kids that love sswimming or swam on a swim team. Then you must have lots of ribbons. I have lots of bins filled with swim team ribbons and medals for all three of my kids. So I was trying to figure out what project I could make with swimming ribbons. That’s when I came up with this Swim Ribbon Wreath.
Step 1: Ribbons.
- You have to remove the label on the back of the ribbons so you can cut them in half.
- You need to iron them if they are wrinkled from being put away. Pick the colors you would like to use. I choose blue and green ribbons. But any color works. I may make a red and gold one for the holidays.
Step 2: Cut the ribbons.
- Make sure you cut the ribbon in half.
- Tie them to a round metal wire wreath.
- If the ribbons are wide sometimes you may have to cut in thirds. It is much easier to tie them on the wreath.
Step 3: Add other colors of ribbon.
You can add other colors of ribbon to make it fuller and more colorful. I wanted a blue and green wreath so I added some white for more color and contrast. It is totally up to you what color you choose.
Step 4:Tie the ribbon process
Tie the ribbon close together on the metal wreath. This take a few hours to do. It is a little time consuming. Make sure its full.
Step 5:
You can hang this wreath anywhere. The back of the wire wreath makes it easy to hang.
