How to Make A Memorial Day Wreath/4th of July

Teach your kids how to make a patriotic wreath! The kids will love making something they can immediately show off to all their friends and relatives who come for a visit. I stumbled across this cute paper craft on Spoonful. I think its perfect for Memorial Day & 4th of July. It’s fun to do and simple as ABC!
Cut a circle out of cardboard. You can make your wreath any size you’d like.
Time to make your paper cones! Your kids will love this part. Make as many as you need to cover your cardboard.
Arrange the cones in red, white, & blue then glue them onto the cardboard circle. I used tape but glue is the better choice!
It should look like this when you are finish the last step
To hang your wreath up, punch two holes at the top of your wreath. Tie string through the holes.
For a finishing touch, trace or draw a white star then tape it to the middle of the wreath. It also covers the tape!
Find a place to hang your wreath!

Did you use a full sheet of card stock to make the cones? Seems like a full sheet would be to much. Thanks

Scrapbook paper comes in many solid colors, and many patterns. Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or JoAnn's carry it.

How about using the foam sheets so it is weatherproof. 🤗

You could use other colors for different seasons, and could use something else instead of a star -- like a slice of watermelon or a sunflower for summer, a pumpkin for fall? a snowman for Christmas? Doesn't have to be hung outdoors, could be put on the inside of the door. Thanks for the rolled paper cones idea!
