Pumpkin Spice Latte Soap With Whipped Soap Icing

I may be a little obsessed with pumpkin spice lattes. Last year, I made a basic bar of soap, but this year I wanted to do something extra. I came up with a way whip soap to make this look like a little cup of coffee with whipped cream on top.

You will need:

  • 1 pound clear melt and pour soap
  • 1 tablespoon coffee grounds
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 3 ounce paper cups
  • 8 ounce white melt and pour soap
  • 4 tablespoons glycerin

Start by melting the clear soap and add the coffee grounds. Stir well until while the soap cools to about 100 degrees. Add the essential oils and stir again.

Pour into 3 ounce paper cups. I filled mine about 2/3 full. This recipe will make 8 small cups of soap. Let cool for an hour before moving to the next step.

Note that I made a small 2 ounce batch of whipped soap when I took the photos, so I used a 2 cup measuring cup. You'll want to use a 4 cup bowl or measuring cup for this step.

Melt the white soap and add the glycerin. Stir and let cool to 90 degrees. It should look like slime. Use a whisk attachment on a hand mixer to whip it for 2-4 minutes.

Spray the top of your coffee soaps with rubbing alcohol.

Once it looks like whipped cream or icing, use a spoon to drop it on top of the soap in the cups. The soap should be warm to the touch by now. I use my fingers to smoosh the soap down and give it some texture on the top to look like whipped cream.
