I will say that I did NOT get paid to review Oil Bond either!!!!! But I'm glad to hear your experience William! Makes me curious about Behr vs. Valspar and Cabinet paint vs. normal high quality paint.

It's wasn't the paint. It was the Oil Bond. It appears that it is not compatible with all paints. Guess it's the formulation of the paint. More bad reviews than good ones. One main complaint was it took three + coats of paint with Oil Bond versus one to two coats with regular primer. Second complaint the paint remained sticky and wouldn't dry.

hmmm.....sounds like I lucked out and actually had good results. But I could understand how it wouldn't be compatible with all paints.

Could it be that oil bond is for oil based enamel, and not latex paints?

I don't recall that it says on the label that it is just for oil based paints, and I did use it on a latex paint.

The cabinets do look great. I have the same type of cabinets and I am trying to decide the best paint to use. I will need to weigh the pros and cons.
