A Picture Perfect Planter

A piece of scrap metal becomes a safe haven for plants. I was able to create this planter using mostly recycled materials, and a tube of caulking for mortar.
How I turned an old roasting pan lid into a planter.
Some scrap wood and paint surround the lid. The chicken wire was to help hold the dirt in place but became an obstacle for bigger rooted bedding out plants. It really wasn't necessary in the end.
Some caulking is used to hold the rocks in place.
Now it needs some dirt and plants and it's ready to be hung.
With the magic of plants and dirt, my sister was able to create her own hanging garden!

No longer available on Jun 28, 2014That is so creative, K! I love that. I would never have looked at a roasting pan cover and seen this and I love that you did.
