These mini mason jar Christmas ornaments will bring a touch of farmhouse style to your Christmas tree this year. These can be made in minutes and will add a ton of personality to your Christmas decor!

Start out by cleaning your jars well and removing any stickers, as well as the lid.

[Psst! Here's another fun and easy DIY to help you get in the holiday spirit: DIY Scented Pinecones!]

I painted these jars white because I thought that was a classic farmhousey look and also because the two different types of red chalk paint that I had both looked a little too pinkish for this for me. If someone decides to make some of these in a nice deep red, please tag me on Instagram (@Creeklinehouse) so I can see how they look on your tree! That would make my day.

Once the paint is fully dry, distress lightly with your sandpaper, focusing on the lettering on the front of the jar as well as the top and bottom edges of the main part of the jar.

Attach a ribbon, hang the mini mason jars on your tree and admire how they make your tree instantly just a little more charming.

this is really cute, I was thinking maybe drill hole in top and place the ornament near the lights and you could place one light through the hole , i have had other ornaments with a place to insert a bulb from the string of lights and i think the glow would look nice
