Bananas gone bad... but not so bad that they are unusable.

I know that I am not the only one in Hometalk land that buys bananas with full intentions of eating them this time before they go bad. Do not throw them out.

Even spotted and soft bananas are usable.

These bananas are quite brown and turning soft. Using them for breads is not the only way to salvage them. Besides, I can only eat so much banana bread!

Smoothies are always a good way to use them. I find that if I freeze them they make a much tastier smoothie without having to add ice.

I place the peeled banana in a zip lock bag.

I than flatten so they freeze faster and lay flat and can be stacked in the freezer.

Since they are thin, they blend easier and is not as much strain on my smoothie maker when I go to use them.
