Wooden Bathroom Countertop

The cultured marble sink and vanity top in the guest bath was worn out after 23 years. We didn't want to spend a lot because we were faced with an expensive master bath remodel. I'd seen wooden kitchen counters and thought one might work in this room.
My husband joined two 2 x 12s.
We sanded, stained and cut the hole for the sink. The sink came with a template. The sink was $60.00.
We gave it 4 coats of Helmsman Spar Urethane in a satin finish.
It has held up so well. It's received a years worth of daily use and still looks great. I love it with the white vanity.

So inspired- I am redoing my above the garage/flex space into a Indoor SheShed of sorts and it has a tiny lil sink and countertop and just of last night i scraped the previous owners textured spray paint over the laminate and found your redo while researching how to fix change or redo it. And I am not wanting to use or do faux granite etc bc i have all real granite in my house.
You and your husband did a fantastic job and I am def inspired as well as showing my own hubs how you two did it.
Tyou for being so detailed as well.
