How to Clean an Essential Oil Diffuser

3 Materials

15 Minutes
Easy

I hadn't really thought about cleaning my diffuser until one day I noticed that it was pretty gross inside. I don't want to add germs to the air, so I deep cleaned it. Cleaning it was easy, and I used natural cleaning products so I didn't add any chemicals to my diffuser.

This was my diffuser before I cleaned it. Gross!

Before you use these directions, be aware that this may void your warranty. I picked up both of my diffusers for around $12, so they weren't expensive. Both are past their warranty, too.

This is the essential oil diffuser that I have. The price went up a little bit, but it's still a great deal.

Always check the manufacturer's instructions in the booklet or online before cleaning yours.

If you have stubborn grime, use a drop of lemon essential oil to break it up.
