Easy Summer Vase
by

I made a couple of vases for Summer using mason jars. They were easy to make and I love how they turned out.
For the first vase, I wrapped a piece of burlap ribbon around the mason jar. Then I added a strip of fabric and secured it with a dab of hot glue. I finished it off with a raffia bow.
I filled the vase with my current favorite Summer flower- Sunflowers.
For the second vase, I covered the mason jar with jute twine. I started at the top of the jar and wrapped the jute around it, securing it with dabs of hot glue.
The vases were quick and easy to make which allowed me to catch up on DVR'd shows.

Time With Thea on Jul 17, 2014I really like this idea! There are so many possibilities to create different decorated vases with different kinds of ribbon and burlap. It is a great way to spend your time catching up on PVR's shows on TV! Having these pre-made would also make great gifts.
