A Wicker Basket Customized in Shabby-chic or Bohemian Storage
I picked up a dark rattan basket that was destined to become a flowerpot but had never been used
and I painted it with aerosol:
with white primary, mauve, purple and varnish
You have to paint inside and outside and turn it until you can not see the initial color of the rattan
Once the varnish is dry, cut a round of patterned fabrics in matching colors, fold the contours inside and sew it around the edge of the basket with a solid thread of the same color to achieve a beautiful lining
I then cut strips of fabric 12 cm long and 3 cm wide in colored droplets of various colors and in the same fabric as the lining.
Then mix them, alternate patterns and tie each piece of fabric along a long purple satin ribbon with a little patience
We can then surround the basket painted and dry with the garland of fabrics, tie the ribbon to close it and fix it with the glue gun
On the knot we put 3 roses in fabric with a little glue, beaded chains in the shape of a loop and we knit the ribbon again to seal the whole thing 🌹
The basket has become an original and decorative storage solution.
