DIY Summer Burlap Wreath

It was time to switch up my wreath hanging on the back garden gate. And I always wanted a burlap wreath. So with a little digging, I figured out how to make my own.
Nothing says summer like sunflowers, bullrushes and wheat.
To make the burlap wreath, you'll need a wire wreath frame, some wire and burlap ribbon. Alternately you could cut burlap into 4" wide strips. But the edges would be raw and frayed and I wanted a cleaner look.
Fold the ribbon in half and then half again. Secure with wire to the frame.
Starting at the inner edge, pull loops through each section and twist from behind to secure.
Continue in this method, scrunching as you go.
It won't take long - about half an hour - to complete the wreath. Finish by securing the last bit of ribbon with wire.
A welcoming wreath for our back gate.
